                              RAISE:    Expectations

The effective use of RAISE Online and other data to RAISE Achievement

This course is suitable for:
Head teachers - Senior leaders - Assessment coordinators - Inclusion managers - Subject leaders - Governors … In fact anyone with raised achievement at the heart of school improvement.

Changes

There have been several significant changes announced recently that will affect the world of education this academic year. These changes include those outlined in the DfE’s white paper 2010, changes to Ofsted inspections and changes to RAISEOnline. All of these changes will have an impact on the way schools will have to analyse their data and present their findings.

RAISE your expectations

We have already seen significant evidence of the changes in the latest RAISE Online 2011 reports, published in September. This course is designed to guide delegates through the new data and links closely with the new Ofsted framework to help you identify the key issues affecting your school presented in your report.
The day will be held in a venue with full wi-fi internet access in order to develop a greater understanding of the use of RAISE Online and time will be given for individual schools. To support this, each day will be limited to a maximum number of delegates.

This day will link closely to the most important elements within:

• The 2010 White Paper
• The new Ofsted framework
• The SEN Green Paper

During the day, delegates will:
• Consider achievement as Ofsted perceives it
• Make judgements on the achievement of “polar” children
• Pay attention to variations in achievement between different groups and subjects
• Compare the new data in RAISE to the school’s own data
• Evaluate achievement outcomes against the school’s own provision

Attending this conference will ensure that leaders are:
• Fully effective in interpreting the new 2011 data and evaluating outcomes against Ofsted’s new framework
• Able to ensure accurate, consistent and robust analysis and evaluation of key outcomes
• Proficient at evaluating and analysing provision against outcomes

With the implications of the new RAISE Online report and the new Ofsted Framework, Liz Greensides developed a publication that is designed to guide leaders through the new data and links closely with the Ofsted framework to help you identify the key issues affecting your school presented in your report and other school data.

This new course will support those schools where the use of contextualised data has had a major part to play in self evaluation in previous years, and where that can no longer be the case … and will also develop the understanding of those who make good use of RAISE, but who want a ‘heads up’ on the new content.

Course Fees: £195+VAT per delegate - subsequent delegates from the same school or cluster group (3 or more schools) will be discounted to £175+VAT.
