Curriculum Planning Workshop

This day is suitable for schools who are ready to move forward with their curriculum, and is a “hands on” day of planning – from the long term to the medium term to the short term. It can be run for a single school or a small group of schools, and is suitable for teachers at all levels of experience. The day will be tailored specifically to the needs of the school or the cluster, in order to focus on the main areas for development in planning.

The day considers coverage of the National Curriculum in Long Term Planning, how to construct effective units of work in Medium Term Plans, and how to ensure creativity and the development of key skills, whilst still ensuring Subject Teaching in the Short Term – one of the main goals within the current White Paper on Education.

This day supports schools in exploring, developing and designing a creative, skills based curriculum which is personalised to your school, and which will not only raise standards in core subjects, but will develop children’s attitudes to learning across the curriculum.
