This course will take participants through the preparation for a subject or aspect inspection, and consider strategies which middle leaders might take in order to “get it right” during the inspection itself.

The course will cover the following areas:

  • What to expect in a subject or aspect inspection
  • National standards for subject leaders
  • Leading and managing your subject: best practice
  • Subject / aspect self evaluation
  • Knowing and understanding standards
  • Monitoring provision
  • Subject status within the national curriculum
  • Subject / aspect strategy planning

This course is also suitable for leadership training, as whole, half day or twilight sessions. It can also be used as in house consultancy.
