Supporting School Improvement

SIP Withdrawal
Since the Government's White Paper was published at the end of 2010, some of the mentioned changes are already beginning to take effect.

The 'School Improvement Partner Program', which provided support to head teachers on a termly basis is to be removed this year (point 23 of 'The Importance of Teaching') and some local authorities have already begun withdrawing this support.

GAL Support
We at GAL Education have received several requests from schools to provide support that will replace the diminishing SIP program and so we have put together the following packages that will support and challenge schools to make excellent improvement.

Partnership Option 1:

  • 3 days support that follows the current SIP guidance
  • Corresponding written reports to aid school improvement
  • A copy of our latest publication: MONITORING: A diagnostic approach to school improvement by Liz Greensides (worth £79.95)
  • 20% off all publications
  • Further reductions to the cost of training if you require more support

Partnership Option 2:

  • Shared cost
  • 3 half days of support per school
  • All of the other benefits from Option 1

Partnership Option 3:

  • Clusters can share the support
  • We can discuss with you how best we can meet your needs
  • The benefits from Option 1 would also apply
